If woodworm is present you will notice small round holes in some of your house timbers which include floor boards, floor joist, loft joists and roof joists.
Woodworm can also be found in the property furniture and fittings, like skirting boards and doors. Our surveyor will check your property thoroughly and advise as to how we will treat your problem and ensure peace of mind.
Treatment
We do not use any of the old highly toxic chemicals for this treatment as these have been found to be responsible for medical issues.
Should we suspect an infestation of Death Watch Beetle we would use a Deep Kill Timber Paste.
For the treatment of floor structures we would lift floorboards at regular intervals in order to get our spray lance beneath the floor structure. Then we can spray the joists and the bottom of each floor board, after which we spray the bottom of the lifted floor board before relaying them, finally we spray the whole top surface of the floor.
For treatment of the loft we would remove all insulation from the loft floor and spray the loft floor timbers and the loft eves.
After treatment with these more environmentally green chemicals you can re-enter the treated areas after approximately 1 hour.
